Treatment Application

The Sapphire Q-Switched Nd Laser removal equipment is the industry standard machine for the removal of pigments in the skin. It can effectively cure pathological changes of endogenous and exogenous pigment formed by mixed pigment or pigment deposit caused by application of permanent makeup to eyebrow, lip, eyeline, lip line, tattoo (including traumatic tattoo) and black, blue, green, purple,brown and red colour in freckles, cafe-au-lait spots, age pigment, black naevus (birthmarks) etc.

Treatment Principle

The machine breaks pigment in tissue by means of high energy delivered instantly from laser beam. The pigment agglomerates expand at high speed due to the heat and explode into particles. Some of the particles (in shallow cuticle) are discharged from the body instantly and other particles (in deeper tissue) are broken into grains small enough to be absorbed and digested by macrophage and removed from the body by the lymph system. Since the specific wavelength used can only be absorbed by pigment particles, no injury is caused to normal tissue.

Treatment Period

Tattoo’s can take 1 to 10 sessions or more to remove. There is no guarantee that all colours or all pigment can be removed. The level of success will depend on the type of pigment being removed, the method and/or equipment used to apply the pigment, skin type and other factors. First session will be carried out using a low power setting, after checking the skin when fully healed power may be increased for subsequent sessions. Allow at least 60 days between sessions and preferably 90 days, but in any case skin must be fully healed.
